| I make art about everyday occurrences set in an interior reality. I use familiar objects found in any ones' home. For instance, an old chair, familiar cups, or objects I would just like to own, such as a Giacometti sculpture. My dreams add a weird type of whimsy; like crooked walls, unexplainable space, glowing color and flat board men. By blending reality and dream, my art reinvents the commonplace and a new reality results. Most importantly, the commonplace is the place where most people reside and when it is given a new face, the result is entertaining. |
